Growing Guide:

  • B are Root Plant: This will come as a bare root plant, keep cool and moist until planting
  • Soil and Location: For optimal growth, plant your Heritage Raspberries in well-drained, fertile soil. They thrive in sunny to partly shaded locations, ensuring they receive enough light without being exposed to harsh afternoon sun. Space 18-30" apart.
  • Watering and Care: Regular watering is crucial, especially during dry periods, to maintain moist but not waterlogged soil. Mulching helps retain soil moisture and keep roots cool. Annual pruning is recommended to remove old canes and promote healthy new growth.
  • Pollination: These raspberries are self-fertile, eliminating the need for a separate pollinator plant. This characteristic makes them an excellent option for gardens with limited space or for gardeners looking to simplify their berry patch setup.

Non-GMO Commitment: At Growing Farmers and The Farm on Central, all our plants are guaranteed non-GMO and not genetically modified in any way, upholding natural breeding methods and promoting sustainable gardening and farming practices.

Growing method: Conventionally Grown, due to tissue culture propagation which ensures disease-free planting stock.

Heritage Raspberry

The raspberry starts looked great on arrival. I stored them in the fridge for a couple of days before planting. So far I have not seen any new shoots or growth so will have to wait a bit more.

Hi there, Ellen! Thank you for your feedback on our Heritage Raspberry. We're glad to hear that the plant looked great upon arrival. It's normal for new plants to take some time to acclimate and start growing. Please give it at least 2-3 weeks for signs of new shoots and growth to become evident. If you have any further concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you for choosing our product and happy gardening!
