Elevate the health and vitality of your landscape or garden with wood chips—a natural solution for nurturing your green spaces. Stockpiled here as part of our recycling program, our wood chips are more than just a garden addition; they're a commitment to sustainable gardening practices. Here's why our wood chips are great for your yard:

  • Weed Suppression: Say goodbye to endless weeding. A layer of our wood chips can significantly reduce weed growth, saving you time and effort.
  • Moisture Retention: Keep your garden hydrated. Our chips help retain soil moisture, reducing the need for frequent watering.
  • Soil Enrichment: Boost your soil's health. Adding our wood chips to your garden introduces essential organic matter and humus, enhancing soil fertility.
  • Diverse Soil Life: Foster a vibrant ecosystem. Our wood chips promote a rich diversity of soil organisms, diminishing the need for synthetic fertilizers.

Usage Recommendations:

For optimal benefits, we advise a generous application of 4-6 inches on top of your soil beds. To avoid nitrogen tie-up in your annual garden beds, do not mix directly into your vegetable beds or soil—simply layer on top. Before tending to your soil, gently rake the chips back to maintain soil integrity.

Product Varieties:

Our farm primarily offers fresh wood chips, which are better for perennial beds or walkways. We occasionally provide aged chips which are better for gardens. While we strive to include a variety of wood types in each mix, please note that the specific mix varies and cannot be guaranteed.
