Black peat is a product out of Darke County naturally mined from a section of muck ground. Incredibly well-broken-down organic matter with lots of calcium from mollusk shells. Can be used in place of compost, although it does have some weed seeds. Great soil amendment and improver.

FARM PICKUP ONLY

We sell several ways:

4-gallon (we provide) or BYO 5-gallon bucket: (covers 6-7 sq ft, 1 inch thick) come get anytime we are open

Tractor scoop: approximately 18 cubic ft, or 2/3rd yard. Bring a trailer or truck- small truck can hold 1-2 scoops, larger truck 3-4 scoops. Shortbed trucks may be a but harder to load.  One scoop will cover approximately 200 square ft, 1" thick.

Note: we charge additionally for the first scoop as that covers the labor to load. If you wanted to buy three scoops, you would add 1 first scoop, and 2 additional scoops to your cart.

We prefer to tractor load on Friday's and Saturdays, although during class weekends, our loading schedule can be slightly complicated. Best to text or call first.

All bulk products loaded by the farm entrance, which is by the underpass on the south side of the property.
