1. 50 Elderberries (mix of two varieties most suited for your Zip code) This is enough for a small Upick patch or making enough syrup for you and your friends. 

2. 30 Mixed willows- some for pollination but we'll throw in at least some for showy catkins for some decoration as well!

 

3. 40 Comfrey cuttings - for making healing salves and feeding the soil, you can't beat Comfrey!

Could be interesting...

We are zone 3b and got our elderberry and willow cuttings in early March. They arrived in good shape and seem to have survived a couple weeks of being in the cool garage. They have now been planted according to the insights given here. I question the varieties of the cuttings, however, since several indicate zone 4 & 5. I guess we'll see what happens in the months ahead.
