Pocahontas
- Fast-growing and high yielding, this elderberry varietal packs a punch! Flower cymes and berry heads are larger than others, up to 24” across. Shorter growing seasons may result in berries that don’t fully ripen, as blooms occur later than other varieties. Indeterminate

Pocahontas is a newer cultivar and highly desirable - we limit the quantity to try to allow more to try this exciting cultivar.

Dead cuttings

I bought 10 cuttings and 4 are dead. The other ones are doing awesome. The day I received them I unwrapped them and put them in a very high grade of potting soil. The live ones are growing leaves and are healthy

Large robust cuttings

I just got the cuttings in the ground today. Compared to Bob Gordon, Ranch, and Adams, the Pocahontas cuttings were by far the largest. They appeared very healthy and just starting to bud out. I’m expecting these cuttings to be vigorous and am looking forward to the results.

I'm Confused....

I ordered Ranch, Adams, and Pocahontas. I was short one Ranch; you said you were sending me the replacement Ranch. I received 3 Bob Gordon; which I didn't order any of....

I left another message about the Ranch but haven't received an answer. And now you are asking be about Pocahontas?

Anyway; it looks like 90% of the plants are sprouting. I have them in pots right now waiting for another warm week to get them planted.

Out of 39 I planted last year looks like about 19 survived. I only got very small berries off of one. I had some issues happen so we got them in the ground late. Hoping for a more productive year this year.
