No Luck

I've tried this variety twice now and not a green leaf has been produced yet. I heard these plants were like weeds and could grow anywhere but I have proven that they won't grow in some places,- or for some people.

Hey there Dan.

We're sorry to hear your growing experiences haven't been succesful. We don't see any communications from you about last years product. We always welcome folks to reach out to us with any questions or concerns so that we may address them and ensure that we are indeed 'Growing Farmers.'

Everybody has different growing experiences depending on many factors such as, water and soil quality as well as shade. We'd love it if you could send us some photos of your cuttings in their current state, and any information you may have about the planting conditions so we may attempt to troubleshoot the issue. Please send all pertinent information to orders@central.farm so that we may get you taken care of.

Concerned about Viability

My Bob Gordon cuttings arrived having broken dormancy. I emailed about my concerns and received a response about Willows. I wrote back explaining that my question was about elderberries not Willows and I haven’t heard another word. I decided I should pot them up. I have kept them in a cool room by a northern window, but the leaves are slowly unfolding, and I am concerned that with no time for root growth, they will not survive. I am disappointed in the service.

Hey there Mary. We're sorry if there was a misundrstanding or if you missed our last email. Per our previous email conversation: 'You'll have to wait until the ground thaws to plant. Just keep your sticks refrigerated and they will stay dormant, if you're not going to pot inside. We'd probably recommend just planting inside for now' We did respond to your email and had apologized for typing willows, but our instructions of potting your cuttings indoors until outdoor temperatures stabalized were still accurate. We're glad you got them potted. There should be no concern of them not rooting as we've seen cuttitngs sprouting 5 times larger and still root and produce. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
